Thermax steam-driven VAMs
are available in single
effect and double effect modes. In steam-driven chillers, the
source of heat is
saturated steam at pressures in the range of 0.5 Kg/cm2 to 10
Kg/cm2.
In the single effect machine, the gain in concentration of the absorbent is achieved in single step, i.e., it has only one generator.
Operating Range
Capacities: From 50 to 2000 TR
Steam pressure: From 0.6 to 3.5 Kg/cmテつイ (g)
Chilled water temperature: Up to 3.5テつコC (0テつコC for brine)
Heat source: Steam
In the double effect machines, the gain in
concentration is achieved in two steps.
The primary generator (referred as High Temperature
Generator or HTG) produces vapour, whose latent heat is used to fire a
secondary generator (referred as Low Temperature Generator or LTG).
Operating Range
Capacities: From 51 to 2000 TR
Steam pressure: From 4.0 to 10.0 Kg/cmテつイ (g)
Chilled water temperature: Up to 3.5テつコC (0テつコC for brine)
Heat source: Steam
